On Wednesday 26th October 2022 evening, one distinguished guest Mr. Keith Humphrey visited Rabindra Bharati Society. Mr. Humphrey is from Suffolk, UK and has been visiting India since 1971. He penned to well known books about lanes and by lanes of North and Central Calcutta, Walking Calcutta and Calcutta revisited. His love for Calcutta made him pour his heart on these descriptions of Calcutta. Mr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, Secretary of Rabindra Bharati Society warmly welcomed Mr. Keith Humphrey who was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Patricia Humphrey. The discussions on old Calcutta with the members present was very lively and informative. The evening ended with rendition of Tagore songs of western tunes, very ably sang by Mrs. Chanda Dutta in three languages- Bengali, English and French. The society felicitated Mr and Mrs Humphrey with a memento.
Rabindra Bharati society is propagating Tagore movements through songs, plays, publications and is always in the forefront to take Bengali culture ahead.
