Rabindra Bharati Society is the proud owner of a heritage Auditorium “Rathindra Mancha” at Jorasanko Thakurbari Compound where the Society’s Office is also located at the 3 rd floor of annexed building. The Auditorium is considered as one of the prominent hub for promoting global culture and fraternity in the light of noble thoughts of Biswakabi Rabindranath Tagore. The Auditorium is fully air-conditioned equipped with all modern amenities having a capacity of 426 seats on the Ground floor and Balcony. The sound arrangements inside the Hall are from BOSE SOUND SYSTEM, a company which has international fame. The year-long cultural programmes and functions organized by the Society such as Rabindra & Nazrul Jayanti, Rabindra Prayan Divas, International Seminars, Barsha Mangal Utsab, Birthday of Rathindranath Tagore, Society’s Foundation Day, Basanta Utsab etc. are being held in this Auditorium. Besides this, different outside cultural institutions/organisations can hire this Auditorium for holding their programmes, functions, workshops. Seminars etc. where all facilities are provided at a nominal fee as donation. This prestigious Auditorium was renovated in recent past with the active participation and assistance of Late Pranab Kumar Mukherjee, Ex-president of India and who was also the President of Rabindra Bharati Society during the period 2008-2012. This renovated Auditorium was inaugurated by Pranab Kumar Mukherjee on 23.12.2017.
